What Makes A Good Fire Inspector?

http://www.rickyrescue.com/12-fire-inspector-classes-online - A good fire inspector has excellent communication skills, good attention to detail and can make decisions impartially, ethically and without prejudice. Many fire inspectors start their career as frontline firefighters. However, it’s also not uncommon to find qualified personnel in other areas, such as city inspectors, undertaking Fire Inspector 1 training to add fire inspection to their qualifications.

As a Fire Inspector you will be required to carry out a number of duties. First and foremost, you will be responsible for conducting building inspections to check fire compliance, inspect and test fire systems and issue code violation notices as required. You will also be responsible for creating fire exit plans as required, conducting and supervising fire drills and other similar tasks. Additionally, you may be required to collect evidence at fire scenes, generate forensic reports and appear in court to testify. Some fire inspectors are also trained to identify hazardous materials and may also be required to undertake training in knowing building construction as it relates to the fire services.

Obtaining Fire Inspector certification online is the most convenient way to do it as these courses are generally open-enrolment and self-paced so they fit in with your existing responsibilities. Contact Ricky Rescue Training Academy for more information about Fire Inspector certification.
