Ammonium Alum and Homemade Baking Soda Antiperspirant to stop sweating excessively

Hyperhidrosis - Ammonium Alum or Potassium Alum

You can generally find this coming as a crystallized stick, and this is one of the most natural deodorants that you can find. It is inexpensive and has a shelf life of about a year so you can be certain that you will be getting value for money.

http://www.curemydisorder.com/links/ways-to-stop-sweating

This is however not an antiperspirant so you will still sweat, but it has an inhibiting antibacterial action which cuts down on the bacteria buildup which in turn reduces odor.

This is a natural deodorant that is gaining in popularity as word about it spreads. A few years ago many people would have given you a blank stare if you went and asked for an ammonium alum deodorant. These days the tide is turning for natural deodorants and ammonium alum is going straight to the top of many people’s lists.

This is also my most favored method of dealing with sweat, seconded only by the use of essential oils.

Baking Soda

You also have the option of using baking soda as your natural deodorant of choice. It works to neutralize any odors and kills odor producing bacteria, which is also the reason why our mothers used to keep an open package of baking soda in the fridge!

If you want something that’s been pre-made you can look for a natural deodorant which contains baking soda, but be warned that these deodorants may also contain other substances which aren’t as good for you.

Check out the list of “bad” ingredients which you might find at the very beginning of this section.

If you want to use baking soda au natural then all you need to do is to dust a little bit of it over the offending areas. Cornstarches also work along the same principles and can be dusted on you in lieu of baking soda if you’ve run out (although you might feel odd at first, dusting yourself with cornstarch, it can and does work).

On the other hand you can use a mixture of baking soda and cornstarch to deal with your sweat problems. Just take equal parts baking soda and cornstarch and apply.

13 Herbs that curb sweating excessively esp for hyperhidrosis patients

Hyperhidrosis - What Herbs To Take?

The herbs I’ve listed below are good either by themselves or mixed with the other herbs I’ve mentioned. You will notice that I have only given you a small list of herbs to choose from and that’s because the herbs to actually reduce sweating are not as numerous as those that can induce sweating!

It should also be noted that I haven’t given you any specific directions on what to do with any of the herbs, except in the “Herbal teas” section, for the very simple reason that I am not a qualified herbalist.

http://www.curemydisorder.com/links/ways-to-stop-sweating

I am not in a position to tell you what amounts of the herbs you should take, besides which, since sweating is such a personal thing, the herbs needed for you will not necessarily be the same herbs, or the amounts which I myself am using.

This is why your best course of action would be to consult with a trained and qualified herbalist to find the right dosages and the right herbs for you.

As for the tea recipes which I have given you in the next section, these are the standard tea recipes and can be drunk by just about anyone. However, if you are pregnant, or taking any kind of medication, you will first want to consult your doctor to see whether these teas are good for you. Below is the list of herbs.

Sage -- since sage is such an all rounder when it comes to sweating and preventing or minimizing it, I have dedicated a separate section all by itself to sage, which comes after the “Herbal Teas” section.

Astragalus -- reduces sweating, balances the body’s sweat actions appropriately

Nettle -- provides relief for your body from overheating

Hops -- soothes

Peppermint -- gives your body a cooling effect

Milk Thistle -- improves the functioning of the liver

White Peony Root -- aids in the loss of sweating, balances your body

Oats -- relieve stress if you are sweating due to stress or anxiety

Fennel -- aids liver function

Motherwort -- relaxes and soothes

Sarsaparilla -- good for hot flashes

Licorice Root -- good for hot flashes

Red Raspberry -- good for hot flashes, also cools the body

How I finally managed to stop my chronic excessive sweating on my face palms and underarms

Visit us at http://www.curemydisorder.com/links/how-to-cure-excessive-sweating-hyperhidrosis

The condition which causes excessive sweating is defined as Hyperhidrosis. Research shows that about 4% of the population has symptoms which are typical to hyperhidrosis. The symptoms which include sweaty face, hands, feet and palms can be a reason of embarrassment and social issues. Everyday existence can be challenging for a person suffering from this condition and physical proximity could be challenging. Yet, this condition can be cured and all these issues can be easily avoided.

What causes Hyperhidrosis?

Hyperdidrosis is a medical condition that needs serious and focused handling and it will not go away if you think that it is something that can be ignored.

The hypothalamus - a part of the brain - is responsible for all sweat related functions. The sweat glands, which are responsible for producing sweat, are triggered by the hypothalamus which sends signals to it via nerves. In normal circumstances, a person would sweat when there is warmth or when the person undergoes any physical activity. As opposed to this, the sweat glands of a person suffering from hyperhidrosis produces surplus of sweat always.

Types of Hyperhidrosis

There are two main categories into which hyperhidrosis can be divided into - primary hyperhidrosis or focal hyperhidrosis and secondary or generalized hyperhidrosis.

Primary or Focal Hyperhidrosis.

Suffers of primary or focal hyperhidrosis complain of excessive sweating around the arm area, hands, feet and even the face. This kind of hyperhidrosis is triggered by problems in the nervous system, hence the sweat glands end up producing excessive sweat.

Secondary of Generalized Hyperhidrosis.

As the name suggests, this kind of hyperhidrosis causes excessive sweating across the whole body. This condition results from some health conditions such as metabolic disorders, neurological disorders and menopause.

How to treat hyperhidrosis?

The good news is that hyperhidrosis can be treated. Simple lifestyle changes like using antiperspirants , wearing comfortable and loose clothing, avoiding clothing like nylon, lycra and a diet which excludes spicy food can cure mild cases of hyperhidrosis. Keeping yourself clean and following simple hygiene norms can offer respite to the condition.

The odds change however if a person is suffering from severe hyperhidrosis. This happens when a person is sweating excessively. One common treatment process is electrical stimulation or Iontophoresis which consists of approximately four sessions per week and a maintenance treatment every four weeks. This treatment albeit has its limitations.

Botox injections - which is considered as a treatment might be successful in reducing armpit sweating. Botox simply stops the sweat glands form producing sweat and hence less sweat but it comes with associate side effects like freezing muscles in the injected area. And since the effect wears off in a few hours making the treatment repetitive.

Besides these two treatment options surgery and medication can also be considered and the best option can only be decided upon consultation with a doctor.

A long-term solution for hyperhidrosis should address the internal causes of excessive sweating by tackling all hyperhidrosis contributing factors. Only by controlling the nutritional, hormonal, psychological and environmental triggers of hyperhidrosis, using a multidimensional and holistic approach to healing you can reverse the "internal excessive sweating environment"- the only, safe, natural and effective way you could ever achieve lasting hyperhidrosis freedom.

- It works by targeting the internal root cause of excessive sweating, instead of just treating the outer symptoms.

- That's why anti-perspirants do not help, because they just try to block our outer sweat ducts, but do not address the root problem.
